I automate the work your team is still doing by hand.
I build data pipelines, scrapers, and custom internal tools. I’ve worked as a software engineer for 11 years at all levels of the industry, including Fortune 500 and co-founding my own startups. I’m based in San Francisco and take on contract work. I’m currently available for new projects.
What I do
Data pipelines and scraping
A lot of the data you need doesn’t come with an API, and it ends up sitting behind a login or on a page that was never designed to be read by a program. I build the pipeline that logs in, pulls that data on a schedule, and keeps doing it reliably once it’s running.
Automation
If something on your team takes a full day every week and it’s more or less the same steps every time, it’s usually a good candidate for automation. I’ll look at how the work actually gets done and automate the parts that are costing you the most time.
Custom internal tools
A lot of businesses run on spreadsheets, a shared drive, and a handful of apps that don’t talk to each other, which works fine until the business outgrows it. I build tools that fit the processes a team already has, so people don’t have to change the way they work just to suit the software.
Selected work
~10,000 accounts, scraped daily for eight months
A European solar operator had installed panels and batteries on commercial buildings across Italy, and all of the energy data for those buildings lived in e-distribuzione’s customer portal, with no API to get at it. I built the pipeline that logged into each customer’s account and pulled their usage and generation numbers, and fed everything into the operator’s dashboard so their clients could see it.

Invoicing cut from a full day to a few hours
A construction company was running its entire back office out of Excel and OneDrive, and had gotten to the point where one person could no longer keep up with it. I built them a single system designed around the processes they already had, so their data and their day-to-day work finally live in the same place.

Why work with me
I’ll work out what’s actually worth building. The request someone brings me and the problem they actually have are usually a little different, so I’d rather spend the first conversations understanding how your business runs and where the time and money are going. Then what I build solves the real problem, not just the one that was easiest to describe in an email.
Making an automation is easy, the hard part is keeping it running. Anything that runs unattended eventually meets a page that changed, a credential that expired, or a rate limit that kicks in, and it usually fails quietly rather than loudly. The real work is designing a system that lets you know when things break (retries, alerting, etc.), and this is my expertise.
